Letter from our CEO
Thank you and welcome to Soalma!
As the CEO of Soalma, I want to welcome you and would like to share the reasons behind the creation of this company.
Soalma is a company born from the heart, conceived with care and affection, whose seeds were a sequence of difficult events lived by my co-founder and myself.
Created to address latent emotional needs that all human beings have, we put all our effort into responding to them and creating a solution that would help others make the most of their life experience.
About our project
My co-founder, Farah, and I met in New York at an alumni event for our MBA, INSEAD. With the Brooklyn Bridge as our backdrop, we learned from our shared entrepreneurial spirit, and we began chatting about some of the projects we had in mind.
Both of us had recently lost very close loved ones and were experiencing the challenges of that loss from different perspectives. Individually, we had started working on developing solutions to better address what we ourselves had found lacking in the grieving process. We discussed two areas that we thought needed improvement:
One, the emotional gap — as many memories and stories end up lost with people no longer around.
And two, what we called the practical gap — which is caused by the lack of relevant information and documents when someone passes.
We decided to join forces in a project for and about people, and thus, Soalma was born. An engaging and fascinating project where our goal is to transform a difficult topic which, by its very nature, would usually trigger an initial reluctance when addressed.
Soalma is a celebration of life
Soalma is designed to allow anyone who has passed through this world to always remain present in other people’s lives. Soalma helps build bridges of emotions and feelings, and facilitates the creation of a personal LEGACY as we live our lives. Soalma gives us PEACE of MIND knowing that we have everything prepared, come what may, and it allows us to SHARE the essence of who we are in a private and confidential manner with those we love most, while also maintaining the utmost security.
The main beneficiaries of Soalma will be those who receive our Legacies, our emotions and messages, our instructions and requests, our advice and reflections. These are the people who will always feel us close, and those who will ensure that our lives, who we were, are, and who we will be, continue from generation to generation, even when our time in this world has come to an end.
Soalma is conceived from LOVE, and we focus on PEOPLE, linking LIVES and SOULS, and connecting different moments of our lives with future generations. On a personal level, Soalma is much more than a startup or a company — It is a life project to which I wholeheartedly hope to dedicate the rest of my life.
I am determined to ensure that we are always prepared to transmit emotions and legacies, and I invite you to use Soalma, and to share your feedback and help us improve.
